# License Activation

Activate license to start using the product.

For connected scenario, please proceed with the steps below for activation. For disconnected scenario, go to [Offline Activation](https://docs.cloudassert.com/azure-stack-hub-multi-stamp-management/master/installation/deployment/license-activation/offline-activation). 

## Resource Provider VM

1. Go to **Tenant Portal** -> **All Resources** -> **VConnectVM1000** -> **Overview** -> **DNS Name** (last item)
2. Copy the value and remote into this resource provider VM 
3. **User name:** vconnectrpadmin, **Password:** as specified in the previous installation step 
4. Open a **new** elevated (administrative) PowerShell console and change to the directory:  “C:\Packages\Plugins\Microsoft.Powershell.DSC\2.77.0.0\DSCWork\setupVConnectConfiguration.0\AzureStack.VConnect.Setup.1.0.0\content\Setup”. 

   **Note:** The version number of DSC directory could change depending upon the version of VM Images. Please select the appropriate version available in the VM.  
5. Run **ActivateLicense.ps1** script and specify the required parameters.

| **LicenseKey** | Unique identifier of the License         | *Required* |
| **EmailId**    | Email Id that is mapped with the License | *Required* |

6\. In Admin Portal, click **All Services** -> **VConnect -> License** blade to see the licensed features and quotas
