The Dell EMC Isilon OneFS is a fundamental building block for scale-out infrastructures, allowing for massive scale and tremendous efficiency, and is used to power all Dell EMC Isilon scale-out NAS storage solutions providing high performance and multi-tenancy. OneFS makes easy to eliminate storage silos, consolidation (unstructured data) and store petabyte of file data. It combines the three layers of traditional storage architectures—file system, volume manager, and data protection—into one unified software layer, creating a single intelligent file system that spans all nodes within a cluster.
