Create user for non-root path

The following are the instructions to create non root user and set privileges

  1. Login to OneFS UI with the root credentials.

  2. Go to Access-> Membership and Roles -> Select the provider as local.

The AD users and providers are not supported in the solution. Only system access zone is supported.

Access > Membership and Roles

  1. Click the Create User button in the users tab.

Access > Membership and Roles > Ctreate User

  1. The Create User wizard opens.

  2. Fill the username and password.

Access > Membership and Roles > Create User Wizard

  1. Scroll down in the same wizard to fill the home directory which is the non root path for the user. The path will be created on user creation automatically if it doesn’t exist. Click on Enable the Account checkbox and click Create User.
