Hybr® admin operators can delete the resources from the underlying infrastructure and Hybr® based on their needs using the following delete options,

  1. Delete

  2. Force Delete

  3. Remove from Inventory

You will get the different delete options by clicking the delete button in the Hybr® admin interface.

1. Delete:

This standard delete option will delete the Virtual Machine resource from Hybr and the underlying infrastructure.

Note: If the Virtual Machine does not exist in the infrastructure, but you still try to delete a VM using this delete option, the operation will end in error. So, you will find the VM in Hybr with the status "Not Found".

2. Force Delete:

The force delete option will delete the resource from Hybr and the underlying infrastructure.

Note: It will delete the VM from Hybr even if the resource does not exist in the infrastructure.

3. Remove from Inventory:

Remove from the inventory will delete the resource from the Hybr only. It will not make any impact on the infrastructure. You can find the resource in the corresponding infra.

Note: Remove from the inventory will only make the changes in the Hybr. Hybr will not compute the VM usages. VM can be synced in Hybr again if it is unaltered in the downline system and on using connection sync.

You will get a pop-up instruction once you click the remove from the inventory option, as shown in the above image. Click “Yes,” and delete the VM from the inventory.
