Pre-requisites

VMware vSphere PowerCLI (required for VMware integration)

  • Supported Versions: 5.5 to 11.2

Steps for supporting PowerCLI version 6.7 to 11.2

  • While installing the VConnect Service download the PowerCLI signed Vim dll and its dependencies.

  • User will be prompted to download the dlls.

  • Add the following downloaded dlls in the VConnect bin folder( \inetpub\MgmtSvc-CloudAssert-VConnect\bin)

Prepare vCenter: (required for VMware integration)

  • Clusters that will be configured with VConnect must have DRS turned on in vCenter.

Recommended Settings for VM Templates in vCenter:

  • Ensure that VM Templates in the vCenter environment used for VM provisioning through VConnect, are created with only 1 core per socket and 1 CPU.

Adding a connection

Specify the Machines server URL, user name and password and click the refresh button. The available datacenters and clusters will be listed.
