# License Activation

* Login to the VConnect Resource Provider Virtual Machine.
* Open a **new** elevated (administrative) PowerShell console and change to the directory “C:\Packages\Plugins\Microsoft.Powershell.DSC\2.19.0.0\DSCWork\setupVConnectConfiguratio n.0\AzureStack.VConnect.Setup.1.0.0\content\Setup”
* Run ActivateLicense.ps1 script and specify the required parameters.

| Parameter name | Description                              | Comment or default value |
| -------------- | ---------------------------------------- | ------------------------ |
| **LicenseKey** | Unique identifier of the License         | *Required*               |
| **EmailId**    | Email Id that is mapped with the License | *Required*               |

* Copy the generated **License.cal** file to the location “C:\inetpub\MgmtSvc-CloudAssertVConnect\bin”
* Recycle the IIS application pool for the site **MgmtSvc-CloudAssert-VConnect**
* In Admin Portal, click **VConnect> License** blade to see the licensed features and quotas
